Siena, seconda meta' del XV secolo. An embossed, pierced, chiselled and gilt copper thurible h. 24 cm. In medieval censers the shape of the cover was intentionally inspired by the Biblical description of New Jerusalem. Sienna, second half of the 15th century. |
