Full Moon Jan VAN BEERS Lierre (Antwerp) 1852 - Fay-aux-Loges 1927 Belgian School Oil on canvas: 44.5 x 39 cm Signed lower right Painter of portraits, figures, genre scenes and, occasionally, animals. Pupil at the Antwerp Academy. He also lived in Paris. He began his career as a painter of historical subjects. Van Beers became a well-known portraitist of many Belgian and French celebrities.
